Dr. Buchberger attended the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians annual Sports Sciences Symposium in Boston, MA from April 6-10, 2011.

On April 7th Dr. Buchberger presented several review sessions for candidates taking their board certification examination in Chiropractic Sports Medicine. He reviewed topics involving injuries to the upper and lower extremities as well as co-presenting concepts of the team physician with Dr. Pat Helma of Cooper City, Florida.

On April 9th Dr. Buchberger presented a 90 minute workshop entitled, “the shoulder in swimming: an injury prevention workshop”. Approximately 250 attendees participated in the workshop learning how to identify deficits in the swimmers shoulder, provide strategies for correction and ultimately preventing injuries. At the awards luncheon Dr. Buchberger had the honor of presenting Dr. Blasé Toto of East Brunswick, NJ with the 2011 ACBSP Sports Chiropractor of the Year award. Dr. Buchberger was the 2009 recipient of the same award.

In July Dr. Buchberger will take over as President of the ACBSP.
